The winding sheet can with special advantage be intended to be attached to a substrate at the edge of the winding sheet, which means that the sheet with fi bars can be folded away if there is a need to access the underlying components. Typically, the child is an optical carrier and in connection with this, electronics can be arranged which are made easily accessible by folding the sheet away. Opical beams cannot be bent with an unlimited short bending radius and the sheet also has the advantage that it gives the wound fi bem a fixed and fi x bending radius, even if the sheet is bent.
The invention also relates to a casing designed to receive at least one such winding sheet 1.
The winding sheet can advantageously be attached to the edge of the sheet in the housing, so that the winding sheet can be bent away and only under the sheet significant components, for example electronic components. This is made possible at the same time as the children are protected from external influences by the edge portion of the sheet and in addition the sheet is kept in a wounded position in a wounded position to be rotated or bent over the limit where the child can be broken off.
Brief description of the figures Fig. 1 shows a winding sheet in an opened casing Fig. 2 shows the casing with the winding sheet folded away Fig. 3 shows the winding sheet without wound up Description of a preferred embodiment Fig. 1 shows a winding sheet 1 in a casing 2 with the lid removed. The housing comprises a flat rectangular base plate with folded edges on the short sides. The housing is designed to receive a lid which is not illustrated in the figure and with the lid attached a protected space is formed where electronics and fiber optic parts are arranged. On the lower folded edge an opening is arranged to receive the optical carrier cable 3 and an electrical connector for the Ethemet.
Inside the housing there are 5 optical fibers wound in your turns on a flat, elliptical winding sheet 1.
The winding sheet has a number of openings through which the edges are threaded so that they are effectively locked in the wound-up position and cannot be spontaneously wound by the winding sheet. These are described in more detail in fi g. 3. The winding sheet is attached to the housing only in its left edge with a screw 6. The winding sheet is normally arranged parallel to the bottom plate of the housing, but is fl visible and can be bent out of this position if any part of the electronics arranged under the winding sheet needs to be replaced or installed .
When routing electrical conductors, tools are generally available for shortening the conductor and connecting the shortened conductors to electronic equipment. Cutting optical fibers is not as simple and, in addition to the cutting step, typically requires that the edges be polished to a very high surface roughness before the shortened edge can be connected to any electro-optical part. This is difficult to do in the field and a common solution is not to cut the berries and leave excess berries. Excess fi bem can then be very practically wound up on the winding sheet.
Fig. 2 shows the casing with the winding sheet folded away and in the har clock the winding sheet with wound fi ber has been folded up at a near right angle from the bottom plate. The underlying electronics 7 are then exposed as illustrated in the figure and can be easily installed or replaced. The optical beam remains wound up and is protected from direct damage to the edges of the winding sheet. Since the winding sheet is attached to the cover at one edge of the sheet, the sheet cannot be rotated at a certain angle from its normal position and this also prevents the optical fiber from rotating.
Fig. 3 shows the winding sheet without wound fi ber so that the design of the sheet is illustrated in greater detail.
The sheet 1 is a substantially elliptical disc of a rather rigid material with some flexibility which allows it to be bent away, but then springs back to a flat state. A rectangular center opening ll is arranged at the center of the sheet. At the major axis of the ellipse, near but not immediately adjacent to the upper and lower edges of the ellipse, there are two substantially rectangular openings 8a, b. The long sides of the rectangular openings 8a, b run substantially parallel to the adjacent edge of the ellipse. The rectangular openings have rounded corners so that the optical fiber cannot be locked in position in the corner of the openings.
On the edges of the ellipse next to the two openings 8a, triangular recesses 9 are formed with one of the corners of the triangles directed towards the longitudinal center of the openings Sa, b and with one side of the triangle arranged where the edge of the ellipse had been. From these corners runs a break in the sheet that reaches the openings. The fiber can thus be inserted into a triangular recess, pushed through the fracture to a rectangular opening and the sheet then springs back and closes the fracture so that the fiber remains enclosed in the opening. A corresponding mainly rectangular opening with rounded corners, triangular recesses and fractures is arranged at the small axis of the ellipse near the left edge of the ellipse.
Four additional openings are arranged near the edge of the ellipse. These four openings are arranged 30 ° and -30 ° from the major axis, at the upper and lower ends of the major axis. The openings are banana-shaped with round corners and curved so that they run approximately along the adjacent elliptical edge of the sheet. Adjacent to each opening there are triangular recesses in the sheet can be arranged in a manner similar to the substantially rectangular openings 8a-c and correspondingly there are folds arranged which run from one corner of the triangular recesses to the corresponding adjacent banana-shaped openings 11a-d.
The openings connected to the sheet can, through the fractures and the triangular recesses, i.e. the rectangular openings 8a-c and the banana-shaped openings 11a-d, all be arranged along the edge of the sheet, but a distance from the edge. The wound fi bern runs from opening to opening around the sheet but is held in position some distance from the edge of the sheet because the openings are arranged some distance in from the edge of the sheet. In this way, the children are protected by the edge portion of the sheet that lies between the openings and the edge. Since the openings are arranged approximately along an ellipse, it is also possible to run an elliptical format, which keeps the bending radius of the fiber within the permitted limits.
